Community guidelines

Unblurred is a place to get to know someone through their words before you see them. These five rules keep it that way. Every member agrees to them when they join, and they form part of our terms.

Be yourself

Your profile must describe you. Your age, gender and photos must be your own and current, and your photos must show your face clearly. One account per person. Don’t pretend to be anyone else.

Be kind

Treat people the way you’d want to be treated. No harassment, threats, bullying, stalking or shaming. No hate speech, and no attacks on anyone over race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation or age. Don’t send sexual content nobody asked for.

Respect the blur

The blur is the point. Don’t ask for, offer or pressure anyone for photos or contact details outside the app before your photos clear. Never screenshot, record, save or share another member’s photos, messages or profile.

Speak up

If someone breaks these rules or makes you feel unsafe, report them from their profile or your chat. A person on our safety team reads every report. You can also unmatch or block anyone at any time, and blocking is private.

If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number first.

What happens if someone breaks the rules

Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, limit features, suspend an account or ban the person permanently. A person on our team makes every suspension and ban decision, tells the member why, and explains how to challenge it. You can ask us to review a decision within six months at safety@unblurred.app.

Meeting in person

You’re responsible for your own conduct, online and offline. Meet in a public place, tell a friend where you’re going, and arrange your own transport. The Safety Centre in the app has more tips and the helplines for your country.
