Unblurred is a dating app where you get to know someone through their words first. Your photos unblur for each other once you connect.

Most apps show you too many faces and ask you to decide in a second. You match, someone writes hey, nothing happens, and you start again.
Everyone has a question you can answer. Answering it gives you an easier way to break the ice and create a meaningful first impression.
You turn pages as if you were reading a book.
Your answer goes to them as a request. They read it before they decide.

Getting to know someone shouldn’t start and end with a photo. We kept watching it happen anyway: a face, a decision in a second, a hey that went nowhere.
We spent two years building Unblurred around a different order. You read someone, answer the question they chose, and talk. We never wanted the photo to feel like a prize, so the conversation carries the weight, and the photo arrives once you’ve both chosen it.
Before we built it, we asked people across Europe, Southeast Asia and the Middle East what they wanted from a dating app. One wish kept coming back: show me this isn’t one-sided. So you both answer, you both put in effort, and both photos unblur at the same moment.

When your chat reaches the fifth stage, both photos unblur. A peek shows a photo for 30 seconds, then it blurs again.
